Last Game: Successful Season Ends in Regional Finals
The 2011-2012 campaign was a successful one for the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings. Despite having to replace 4 starters and nearly two-thirds of their scoring and rebounding from a year ago, the Vikings turned in another excellent year. Highlights of the season include:

• A seventh straight Wisconsin Little Ten Conference championship. Like the previous six, this title was won outright, as the Vikings went 12-2 in conference play to win the Little Ten by two games.
• A sixth straight trip to the WIAA regional finals, as the sixth-seeded Vikings knocked off third-seeded Pewaukee (the Woodland Conference champions) in the regional semifinals.
• Senior guard Chris Golden was named the Wisconsin Little Ten Conference Player of the Year. It is the fourth straight year and fifth year out of the last six that a Viking has won this award.
• Chris Golden was also named Second Team All-State in Division 2 by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. In addition, Chris was chosen to play on the south team at the WBCA All-Star Game in June.
• Senior Emilio Lopez and junior Deiondre Cunningham were named Second Team All-Conference. It is the eighth straight year the Vikings have had at least three players on the All-Conference team.
• The Vikings led the conference in scoring for the sixth straight year and gave up the second-fewest points of any conference team.
• Once again, Wisco enjoyed a significant home-court advantage. The Vikings went 9-2 at home, including 7-0 in conference play. Wisco has won 32 straight conference home games.
• The JV and freshman teams each turned in outstanding seasons. The JV went a perfect 22-0 on the year while the freshmen finished 18-2 (with the two losses by a combined five points) and 14-0 in conference play.
• Our four seniors provided excellent play and quality leadership throughout the year. Our thanks goes out to Andy DeNoyer, Zach Ginster, Chris Golden, and Emilio Lopez for all they have done for Wisconsin Lutheran Basketball

We are thankful for God's blessings on this season and are already looking forward to the future! The program will hold its awards night on Sunday, March 25.

Postseason Recognition for Vikings!
Congratulations to three Vikings who have been recognized for their excellent efforts during the season. Senior Emilio Lopez and junior Deiondre Cunningham have been named Second Team All-Conference by the WLT coaches, and senior Chris Golden was unanimously named First Team All-Conference. In addition, Chris was named WLT Player of the Year by the coaches, the fourth straight year a Viking has won this award. Check back soon for a full listing of the all-conference team.
