The Vikings faced their toughest non-conference game of the season on Tuesday night when they traveled to #1 Germantown. And the Warhawks were as good as advertised, as they downed Wisco 71-58.

The Warhawks used a 13-0 run over the latter part of the first quarter to take control of the game and led 22-8 after one. The Vikings played relatively evenly with Germantown after that. Wisco was able to narrow the lead to seven points on a few occasions, but Germantown's size and strength proved to be too much, and they had an answer every time.

Even in the loss, there were positives. The Vikings came up with 11 steals and forced 13 turnovers. They also moved the ball well on offense and recorded 12 assists on 21 field goals. Five different players had at least 2 assists and four different players had at least 2 steals.

Chris Golden led the Vikings with 23 points. Emilio Lopez scored 11 points and Deiondre Cunningham had 7 points and 8 rebounds. The Vikings return to conference play on Friday when they host Watertown at 7:30 PM.
