With starters Flavien Davis and JJ Krueger back home in Milwaukee with the flu, the Vikings needed some new faces to step up for them if they were going to remain undefeated in conference play. And that's exactly what happened, as three Wisco players scored in double figures to lead them to a hard-fought road victory.

After a tight first half, the Spartans edged in front, 28-27 in the third quarter. But the Vikings responded with an 11-0 run to take a 10-point lead. However, West came roaring back in the fourth quarter, and took the lead at 43-42 with less than four minutes to play. Chris Rotruck's three-point play off a nice pass from Josh Gordon put the Vikings back on top at 45-43, and Wisco was able to string together defensive stops coupled with a perfect 10-10 performance from the free throw line down the stretch to ice the victory.

Tim Rotruck led the way for Wisco with a double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds). His brother Chris added 13 and Terry Nash added 10 to give the Vikings three players in double figures. The Vikings outrebounded the Spartans by 11, including 13-4 on the offensive glass. Wisco also dished out 12 assists on 17 field goals, led by Jake Gordon with 4 and Marcus Radue with 3.

The next game for the Vikings pits the top two teams in the WLT standings, as Beaver Dam comes to town on Tuesday, January 26. Game time is 7:30 PM.
