Wisconsin Lutheran 66, Cedarburg 40

After shaking off a little rust from a 15-day layoff, the Vikings dominated the middle two quarters en route to a 66-40 win at Cedarburg. A 10-0 run in the third quarter bumped Wisco's margin from 8 points to 18 points and effectively sealed the victory.

While the offense took a little time to get rolling, the Viking defense was solid from the start, holding the Bulldogs to just 35% shooting from the floor, including 13% from the three-point line. Wisco dominated the glass to the tune of a 41-29 advantage, including 15 offensive rebounds. They also forced Cedarburg into 13 turnovers.

Flavien Davis led three Vikings in double figures with 15 points. He also added 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Terry Nash scored 11 points and led the team with 3 steals, while Jake Gordon canned both of his three point attempts on his way to a season-high 10 points. Tim Rotruck just missed out on double figures with 8 points, but grabbed 10 rebounds to pace the Vikings in that category. Also cleaning the boards for Wisco were Davis, Chris Rotruck, and Marcus Radue, who had five rebounds apiece.

Next up for the Vikings are the 11-1 Goslings of Watertown in a Wisconsin Little Ten Conference battle. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 PM on Friday, January 15.
